February 25, 2019
On February 12th, the Northshore Fire Department asked its citizens for approval to continue the use of the fire benefit charge method of funding emergency services. The voters have once again shown overwhelming support for their fire department by renewing the benefit charge with 90.6% of those voting in favor of the measure.
Public and Non-Profit Job Fair

On January 30th, 2019 Northshore Fire will be hosting a career event for the Public and Non-Profit sectors. This job and resource fair is free for all to attend. Join us to learn about available jobs in the area and network with prospective employers.

Northshore Fire Appoints New Commissioner

The Northshore Fire Department has appointed a new member to its Board of Fire Commissioners. Kenmore resident, Suzanne Greathouse, was selected to fill the vacant Position No. 2 at the December 4th meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners.
Announcement of Fire Commissioner Vacancy

The Northshore Fire Department, serving the cities of Lake Forest Park and Kenmore, has a vacancy in Commissioner Position #2. Additionally, Commissioner Position #4 is anticipated to be vacated in January of 2019.
The vacancies will be filled by appointment with terms lasting through the end of 2019. Both positions are scheduled for election in the November 2019 General Election.
Commissioners act as the board of directors for the fire department. If you are interested in serving your community as Fire Commissioner, please submit a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to the district’s Board Secretary no later than 5:00 pm on November 20th, 2018.
9/11 Memorial Viewing

Tuesday, September 11th, will mark the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon buildings. We have a 9/11 Memorial honoring the nearly 3,000 civilian and 343 firefighter fatalities located in the lobby of our headquarters station in Kenmore. The memorial includes a small piece of steel from one of the World Trade Center towers. Our lobby is open to the public from 7:30am-4:30pm for anyone wishing to stop and visit the memorial next Tuesday.
Open House this Saturday, June 16th!

Don't forget that this Saturday, June 16th, is Northshore Fire's annual Open House & Pancake Breakfast at Station 51 in Kenmore. We have kid firefighter challenge courses, informational booths, firefighter demonstrations, a pancake breakfast, and more. Bring your family, friends, and come join the fun!

Firefighters and Police Train for Active Shooter Scenario

Our department trains every day in order to effectively serve our community. Recently, we teamed up with the Lake Forest Park Police Department, neighboring agencies, and volunteers, to conduct an active shooter training at the Town Center in Lake Forest Park.
