Internal quarterly and annual reports are provided to the Board of Commissioners to facilitate their fiduciary responsibility to review and provide financial oversight of the fire department’s financial activities.
The Northshore Fire Department is required to submit an annual financial report to the State Auditor’s Office each year by the end of May. The State Auditor performs a financial and accountability audit of the department every other year.
Standard and Poor’s (S&P) periodically performs a bond rating of the fire department’s finances. The S&P bond rating provides another report on the financial health of the organization.
