MAP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD (MYN)
The MYN program is designed to work with a block watch area or cluster of approximately 20 homes. Developed by the Washington State Emergency Management Division, the three-hour training focuses on nine simple but important tasks that can be performed in the initial minutes following a disaster. Two one-hour follow-up sessions are included in the program. MYN is a self-sustaining program in that the residents in a block watch area who have been given the tools to make their plan are responsible for maintaining it.
