Safe Sitter Classes
Safe Sitter® (www.safesitter.org) is a medically accurate program that teaches young adolescents how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children, including basic lifesaving techniques such as infant and child CPR. They learn safety precautions, how to understand children of different ages, and the business aspect of babysitting.
The Northshore Fire Department is offering one more Safe Sitter® class this summer.
Thursday/Friday, July 22nd/23rd
Cost for the class is $40.00 and includes a take-home Safe Sitters kit. The class is open to girls and boys ages 11 to 13. Class is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and students must bring a sack lunch both days. Class size is limited to 14 students. Register for either class in the class sign up tab or contact Terri Jones at tjones@northshorefire.com or 425-486-2784. An information packet will follow.
