Driving Directions
King County Fire District #16, also known as the Northshore Fire Department, sits on the north end of Lake Washington. It encompasses approximately 11 square miles and serves the cities of Kenmore and Lake Forest Park.
To ensure adequate coverage, we have strategically placed two fire stations within its boundaries that are within 5 to 6 minutes of any given address. Station 51 is located at 18030 73rd Avenue NE in Kenmore. Station 57 is located behind the Lake Forest Park Mall at 17020 Brookside Boulevard NE.
Station 51 is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a minimum of 4 Firefighters, 1 Lieutenant, and 1 Battalion Chief. Station 57 is staffed 24 hours as well, with a minimum of 1 Lieutenant and 2 Firefighters. Station 51's apparatus consists of Engine 51, Aid 51, Rescue 51, and Battalion 51. Also, the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief of Operations, Deputy Chief of Training, Public Information Officer, and Administrative Staff are quartered here. Station 57 runs with a single Engine Company (Engine 57).
